KSAFA Women’s
Five-a-side Football - Competition Rules
The
above competition is organised on a league basis with
6 teams in each zone. The top two in each zone will
then qualify for the K.O. stages. Teams will play on
Sundays 11 a.m. – 6:00 pm.

The competition will
commence with a dress parade and all teams are
expected to participate.
-
Each team is allowed
to field five players satisfying the prescribed age
limit.
-
Matches will be of
forty (40) minutes duration; twenty (20) for each
half.
-
Any player sent-off
i.e. receiving a red card will automatically miss
one match.
-
5 minutes break for
half time will be allowed for each game. There will
be NO OFFSIDE rule.
-
Bookable offences i.e.
yellow cards will be penalised by a 2 minute
'sit-out'. Two sit-outs or yellow card will be
treated as a red card.
-
Teams found guilty of
using ineligible players will forfeit the match with
the opposing team being awarded the game by a 3-0
margin and be referred to the KSAFA disciplinary
committee for possible further disciplinary action.

Teams must ensure that
players arrive at least ten minutes before their
match.
-
In the event of a
colour clash, teams listed last will wear bibs or
change gear.

Goalkeepers must be
clearly identified - i.e. a different colour top
from the rest of her team as well as players from
the opposing team. Teams should register their
colour with the Secretariat before commencement of
the competition.

Substitution can be
made at anytime with Referees permission. N.B.
Substituted players will be allowed to return to the
pitch in the same game.

The 'back-pass' law to
goalkeepers will be enforced.

Teams must have a
minimum of 4 players (one of which must be the
goalkeeper) on the field of play, or a 3-0 walkover
will be awarded to the opposing team.

The teams named first
on the fixtures are the "HOME TEAM" and is
responsible for home team commitments. These
commitments are:-

Provision of match
ball, which should be a size five (5) ball
properly inflated.

Provision of
refreshments for the Referee and Match Officials.

15) The opposing team
must be at a minimum of 5 yards from any free kick.
Procedure of First Round
The First Round will comprise of four (4) zones,
consisting of six (6) teams. Teams will play each
other twice. At the end of the round, the top two
teams in each zone will advance to the quarter-final
round.
Procedure for draws in Quarter and Semi-finals

At the quarter final
stage, if teams are leveled at the end of the game,
the 4 remaining outfield players on the pitch will
take a penalty each followed by 'sudden-death’ in
the same order of the 4 taken.
EXTRA TIME & PENALTY KICKS
-
In the semi-final &
final, if teams are leveled at the end of normal
time, a period of extra time will be played lasting
4 minutes; 2 minutes each way. If scores remain
level, the 4 remaining outfield players on the pitch
will take a penalty each followed by 'sudden-death’
in the same order of the 4 taken.
AWARDING OF POINTS
Points
shall be awarded as follows, three for a win, one for
a draw and nil for a loss. The scheme of play for the
fixtures shall be decided and set out by the KSAFA
Competitions Committee.
If two
or more Clubs have equal number of points, the goal
difference of the matches played by the teams shall be
used to determine the places. If the goal difference
is equal, the clubs having scored more goals shall be
placed in the higher (highest) position.
If the
clubs involved have scored the same number of goals,
then the score of their direct match shall determine
the higher position. If the clubs involved have scored
the same number of goals in their direct match then
the number of wins in the competition shall be used.
If the
clubs involved have scored the same number of wins
then the winner or higher positioned team shall be
decided by drawing lots.
IDENTIFICATION
All
registered players must present his identification
card to the match officials; no player will be allowed
to participate without same.
CAUTION FEES
All
caution fees must be paid before the player(s) play(s)
his or their next match, Clubs failing to adhere will
lose the points for the match(es) in which the
ineligible player(s) participated. The record keeping
of yellow & red cards is the onus of the Club’s
management.
The fees
are as follows:

Yellow card - $500.00
-
Red Card - $900.00
TITLE
AND TROPHY
The
teams shall compete for the KSAFA Under 20 League
Trophy and the prize money.
The
Trophy presented by the KSAFA shall remain the
property of the KSAFA and shall be held by the Club
winning the respective trophies for not more than
twenty-eight days. The said Trophy shall be returned
to the KSAFA within one month of being presented, the
winning Club shall be given a replica of the Trophy.
The Trophy shall be kept in good condition and proper
care taken by the winning teams(s) to ensure their
safe return to the KSAFA.
A Club
failing to return the Trophy within the specified time
and in good condition shall be fined Twelve Thousand
Dollars ($12,000.00) by the KSAFA Competitions
Committee and/or be referred to the Complaints and
Disciplinary Committee for further action.
The
winner of the competition shall receive (10) miniature
trophies and the runner-up ten silver medals.
Issue
not address by these rules will revert to KSAFA rules.
WOMEN’S FIVE-A-SIDE COMPETITION
DRESS PARADE RULES
All are expected to participate in the dress parade,
and will be judged on criteria including (but not
limited to) the following:

Punctuality and Attendance:
Each team will march unto the field once its
assigned number is called. The next team number will
be called within the next thirty (30) seconds.
Excellent: March up within 15- seconds;
Good: March up within the next 15- seconds;
Poor: March up after 30 seconds-

Uniformity & Players’ Equipment:
Design: The attractiveness and colour
coordination of the gears will also be considered.
