November 8th, 2011

From L: Roger Reid (captain of Constant Spring), Carl Sewell (coach of Constant Spring), O'Neil "Chippy" McDonald (27), Susan Hendricks (JNBS Marketing Coordinator), Errol McDonald (KSAMLA President), and Michael Collins (JNBS Sales Development Specialist).

CONSTANT SPRING CAPTURE 2011 JNBS MASTERS LEAGUE TITLE 7.10.2011 – Constant Spring easily repelled the challenge of Telecom Strikers 3-0 to capture the 2011 JNBS Masters League title on Sunday at Constant Spring oval.

The championship final, although very entertaining, was a mismatch, as Telecom Strikers had no answer to the solid technique and power displayed by the talented Constant Spring squad.

Former Jamaican international, O'Neil "Chippy" McDonald, the leading candidate for "rookie of the year", registered a first half brace as he scored in the 11th and 27th minute, while Lincoln Taff scored in the 71st minute to complete the scoring.

This was Constant Spring's third JNBS/KSAMLA masters title this season as they won the opening day champions cup, the Peter Cargill Cup, and have now added the league title.

Constant Spring will attempt to win a fourth title next Sunday at Winchester Park when they tackle Santos in the final of the inaugural JNBS Masters FA Cup knockout competition.

In the O-45 Harry Faulkner Cup curtain raiser, the KSAMLA Grand Masters were held to an exciting 1-1 draw by the Golden League All Stars. Lawrence Passley scored for the Grand Masters in the 45th minute, with Richard Beckford registering the equalizer for the Golden League in the 52nd minute.

The Grand Masters won the first leg of the Faulkner Cup 2-0, and with last Sunday's 1-1 draw, the KSAMLA Grand Masters only need a draw in Sunday's game to gain the first lien on the Harry Faulkner Cup.
