Cavalier maintain lead

Mountain View vs Barbican

The Cavalier juggernaut continued to dismantle everything in front of it thrashing Real Mona 6-1 in the Claro/Kingston and St Andrew Football Association (KSAFA) Super League last Saturday.

Donovan Alvaranga netted a three-timer in the 23rd, 26th and 86th minutes, Fabian Swaby scored twice in the 13th and 36th minutes and Patrick Edmonson completed the rout in the 45th minute. Kitwana Lawrence scored a consolation goal for Real Mona in the 90th minute.

Cavalier which remained the only unbeaten team in the league, notching their sixth win from seven matches to be on 19 points and increased their lead to four points.

Real Mona which was suffering their fifth defeat slipped one spot to 11th with four points from seven games.

Despite losing 0-2 to Rockfort, August Town remained in second spot on 14 points while Rockort gained one place into fourth on 13 points. Henrique Green and Twaine Winter scored for Rockfort in the 22nd and 25th minutes.

The University of the West Indies (UWI) dropped two places to fifth on 12 points after playing to a 0-0 draw with Duhaney Park who remained 10th on four points.

Santos climbed into third spot on 13 points with a 2-1 win over Bull Bay at the Bull Pen. The prolific Fabian Nethersole opened the scoring in the third minute for his eighth goal of the season and in the process, joined Anthony Grant atop of the goalscoring chart.

Kemar Cockbourne netted the other in the 79th minute after Delroy Harrison had equalized for Bull Bay in the 61st minute. Bull Bay stayed bottom of the 12-team league on two points from seven games.

Mountain View blanked Barbican 2-0 and climbed two spots to seventh on eight points courtesy of two goals from Troyland Williams in the 75th and 78th minutes while Barbican slipped a spot to ninth on seven points.

Claro Major League

Greenwich Town made it two from two edging Shortwood United 1-0 courtesy of a Tyrone Davis goal in the 86th minute.

Greenwich Town were joined on six points by Olympic Gardens which defeated Brown’s Town 1-0 with Stephan Brooks scoring in the 47th minute.

Police National slipped from second to third after battling to an exciting 3-3 draw with Cooreville Gardens.

Alwin Morgan gave the lawmen a 26th minute lead but Cooreville responded with Mitch Wright in the 61st and further goals by Daniel Gilzene and Machel baker in the 78th and 88th minutes gave them a 3-1 advantage. But Police scored two goals in the dying minutes for a share of the points.

Orville Smalling made it 3-2 in the 91st minute before Morgan notched his second and Police’s third in the 92nd minute.

Allman/Woodford clipped Molynes United 3-2 for their first win in two starts while the game between Stony Hill and Seaview Gardens was not played.

Claro Syd Bartlett League

Maxfield Park whipped Swallowfield 4-0 with Mario Palmer notching a three-timer in the 14th, 32nd and 88th minutes. Courtney Williams got the other in the 87th minute.

Red Hill FC continued their good form thrashing Pembroke Hall 5-2 as Lawrence Richards also grabbed a three-timer in the 22nd , 38th and 80th minutes.

Andra Manderson and Rohan Mcdonald completed the win in the 48th and 91st minutes respectively. Richard Gordon and Alwin Warren and in the 23rd and 26th minutes scored for Pembroke Hall.

The game between Meaforest and New Kingston ended 0-0.
