Portmore United FC Withdraw From KSAFA Under 20

March 22, 2017

Portmore United has decided to withdraw from the KSAFA Under 20 competition. We apologize for any inconvenience caused at this withdrawal at the last hour. We would like to thank the KSAFA and all the clubs which graciously approved our request to participate in the U20 competition. Our intention was never to create any disharmony but simply to provide our youngsters who have been in training for months, an opportunity to further develop and showcase their skills. The KSAFA agreed to do this in the great spirit of collaboration and the full consent of the St. Catherine FA. It is unfortunate that everyone did not see it that way. We believe our participation could lead to further disharmony and malcontent and this is not at all our intention. Portmore United would like to thank all who participated in the decision to have us involved and in particular the KSAFA and SCFA Presidents who were instrumental in the leadership in this effort and the St. Catherine FA (SCFA) which has been entirely supportive.

We look forward to continue to developing our youngsters to become good footballers and great men.
