iTech Money Transfer Remits $1 million in two year sponsorship deal with KSAFA U17

iTech Money Transfer Vice chairman, Sheldon Lawrence handed over a cheque valued at five hundred ($500,000) dollars to KSAFA President Ambassador AB Stewart Stephenson at a press conference to announce the sponsorship of the 2007/08 TRANSFER PLUS MONEY TRANSFER /KSAFA Under 17 competition for the Dickie Coke Trophy which took place on Thursday, July 3 in the Blue Mahoe Suite of The Courtley. The 2007/08 sponsorship formed the first tranche of two year deal valued at one million dollars($1million). According to Ambassador Stephenson this was his final press launch before he demits office and therefore his parting legacy to a new administration which he charged to carry the baton with distinction ..

iTech Money Transfer Chairman, Richard Weir expressed his company’s extreme pleasure to be associated with a prestigious organization such as KSAFA and anticipates that the partnership will assist with KSAFA age group development programme ...

The KSAFA president noted that iTech Money Transfer was the 20th Corporate entity or the fifth financial institution to sponsor KSAFA competitions and activities to the tune of $35M over the 4 year period of his administration and stand as testimony of the synergies of the partnership and a vote of confidence of the private sector in the KSAFA product..

The sponsorship will cover prize monies, referees’ fees and administrative expenses which is broken down as follows:

Prize Monies

  • 2nd place -50,000

  • 3rd place -40,000

  • 4th place -30,000

  • 5th place -20,000

  • 6th place- -10,000 220,000

  • Referees’ fees 225,000

  • Adm. Costs 40,000

  • Trophies & awards 15,000

  • Total sponsorship $500,000

The U-17 Competition is to be played in league format with 4 Geographical Zones and will be played together with the U-13 . It is expected to kick off on Thursday, July 10, 2008 with all matches expected to start at 4.30 pm. The U13 matches will start at 3.pm. All matches will be played on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays .

In the spirit of reciprocity, Ambassador Stephenson also presented a copy of KSAFA audited Financial statements 2006/07 to the iTech Money Transfer Ltd Vice Chairman.
